WIKI RIMA / WEEK 5
Next week is a bit of a messy old week with the Teacher Strike day for Christchurch and Show Day. Due to these please note that the school is closed on both Wednesday (14 November) and Friday (16 November).
Inquiry Trip
Boy did we pick the right day... The weather was beautiful!!! A huge thanks to Kristy and Ian for all the AMAZING work they put in. We had such a fun time heading to the river and then learnt some new things about the river and what lurks after we got back! Also thanks to all the parents who gave up their time to come along and help us on Monday we hope you enjoyed the day!
Things to know about Week 5:
- Monday Kendall is out of the class for CRT (Classroom Release Time)
- Wednesday is the Christchurch Teachers Strike so Thorrington will be closed
- There will be athletics practices on Thursday afternoon
- Friday is Show Day so enjoy the long weekend (so there will be no Timatanga Assembly)!

Thorrington is participating in a fundraising lunch with Hell Pizza. We ask that children order and
pay for a $5 pizza from the following menu, of which $1 is donated to our school to contribute to
essential resources for the school. All of Hell’s kids’ pizzas are nutritious and tailored to meet the
‘Food for Life’ criteria for a mixed meal for everyday use.
