Inanga Trip
On Thursday Year 2 got to go on another adventure down the river. This time we had some different experts from EOS come and work with us and show us an interesting ways to fish. We also got to look at some fish we have been learning about up close and touch a slimy eel... Have a look at what we got up to:
Year 2 Roimata Trip
You will of received an email this week about our up and coming trip to Roimata as part of our inquiry. If you haven't already please follow the link below and give your child permission to join us, we are also looking for parent help for this trip (all the information is below)! Please remember to bring a packed lunch for this trip and please do not order Little Lunches for this day.

Date: Tuesday 20th November
Time bus departing from School: 10.40am
Time bus arriving back to school: 02.40pm
If you have signed up as parent help please be at school by 10.30am
The sessions will run as a rotation around the following three topics based on the theme of 'journeys':
Journey of food: community garden beds, planting seeds & seedlings, harvesting food
Journey of inanga: habitats, lifecycle, exploring the Love Zone – how good is it for spawning?
Journey of water - whole of class project with groups working on different parts of the river then mapping it all together on a wall.

End Of Year Celebration
Things to know about Week 6:
- Tuesday Year 2 Roimata Trip
- Please note that we will not be going to the library this week as we are away on our trip on Tuesday, but feel free to bring back your library books and we will still return them. Remind your child that they are welcome to get new books out at lunchtimes.
- Wednesday Carl will be out on Lead Teacher release and Liv will be in L1
- There will be athletics practices on Thursday and Friday afternoons
- Friday is Tuatahi's Assembly in the hall at 12pm, everyone welcome!
- Friday Lizzie is out of the class for CRT (Classroom Release Time) and Liv will be in L2
