Time: 2.20pm

Date: Monday 20th November

Place: Year 2 Space

Measurement - Weight

Exploring mass using standard and non-standard units. We have been finding out how many objects will equal 10g, 20g, 50g and more. Sometimes we can make predictions by using our knowledge of doubling. When counting we are using skip counting and then our times tables to help us check we have an accurate amount. Before we start we need to make sure our scales are balanced.

Term 4, Week 5!

Over Half Way There!

Would you believe that we are over half way through Term 4? Although some people maybe on the countdown there is no winding down happening in Year 2!
We are still working hard in literacy, numeracy and inquiry (check out some of the pictures below for a clue of what we are going to be sharing at the Timatanga Art Gallery).

Incase you lost your invite, here is all the information you need to know:

Thorrington School was busy busting some moves at the disco on Thursday night, we hope everyone had fun!

A couple of things to remember for this week:

Library - Tuesday after lunch for everyone in Year 2, feel free to bring your books along on Monday and Tuesday to be returned.

Athletics Practices - will be happening every week on Thursday for all of Timatanga until week 7. Term 4 is a compulsory term for children to wear hats, please ensure your child is bringing their hat every day, especially as we are outside for Sportstart and athletics practice.

Athletics Training - all of Timatanga have been working hard practising our athletics skills like running, jumping and throwing. Every Thursday (weather dependent) you will find us out on the field getting ready to show off our skills!
