Building our room in Minecraft!

We have measured our Home Base now we are building it!

First we made a plan and then asked Mrs Harris and Mr Page to check it so we could get planning permission to build Home Base 7

Then we placed our selfs on a continuum of how confident we were as Minecrafters. Number 10 on the line was an expert that could teach others. Number 1 on the line was a beginner Minecrafter.

Mother's Day

Last week we followed some instructions and practiced our craft skills to create a card for Mother's Day.

We had to think carefully about what we were doing and develop our cutting and gluing skills. 

We listened carefully to Mrs Hunts great instructions. 

Daily 5 in Year 2!

This week we have been choosing which Daily 5 activity to do and where to sit. We are managing ourselves by making great choices.

Measuring Home Base 7!

We are learning how to measure to the nearest metre. 

Once we have measured the room we will make a plan. Then we will build our classroom in Minecraft!We have been using metre rulers, paper tape measures and real tape measures thawe brought in from home. 

We have found out that there are 100cm in 1m, and some our tape measures us millimetres! There are 10mm in 1cm and 1000mm in 1m.
