Maori Motif Art

Following on from our trip to the art Gallery we made our own motifs by drawing a traditional Maori shape and then cutting it out to make a shape!

Butterflies!

Thanks to HB7 parent, Sonya, for bringing in our two caterpillars! After being very hungry they both formed their cocoons and then hatched. HB7 gave them a great farewell! 



After days of eating, time for a rest...

New head phones for 'Listen to Reading'!

Great news! Now we can listen to audio books!

Portrait Art!

At the start of the term Mrs Clarke showed us how to create portraits in the style of the Italian artist Mogdigliani. 

He uses long features for the necks, heads and noses.
Here we are creating our own portraits.

First we used chalk over folded black paper to position our head and shoulders














Then we added colour to our outlined shapes!
