Term 1 Week 9

Week 9

What a wonderful week it has been in the Year 2 Space this week. We have been busy doing our final IGNITE blocks which involved clay and sand creations, science experiments, playing vet clinics and making bones!

Tūhura Time!

Paid Union Meeting

Thorrington's NZEI members attended a meeting on Tuesday afternoon to talk about our "It's Time, Kua tae te wā" campaign. Please feel free to talk to one of us about the Union's proposed changes for our collective agreement.

There are a lot of reminders for the next week below!

Mufti Day

Whānau Hui

We warmly welcome all families at Thorrington School to join us for our Term 1 Whānau Hui next week, on Wednesday 28th March. It starts at 5.30pm in the staffroom, and kai is provided for children and adults.

Please RSVP by email to hayley.ngan@thorrington.ac.nz ASAP. Thank you.

Easter Holidays

School will be closed from Friday 30th March until Tuesday 3rd April (inclusive). Please see your child's Homebase teacher if you have any queries.

Beyblades

We have been doing some thinking about Beyblades this week after receiving some feedback and reflecting on some of the incidents occurring in the morning. We feel like they have a place in our Tuhura time but we want to have a think about how this might look. Until then, we are asking that Beyblades DO NOT come to school until we advise how we want to proceed. We appreciate your help with this.

Dogs

There are not to be dogs on the school grounds between 8am and 4pm (even if being carried).
